EAGLE Club (Educate, Advocate, Guard, Lead, Empower)

EAGLE clubs will empower students to serve as change agents, fostering a culture of vigilance and resilience against drug abuse. They will function as a collaborative initiative involving law enforcement, teachers, parents and NGOs integrating real- time monitoring and digital tools to create a sustainable and proactive approach to keeping schools and communities’ drug free.

Vision & Mission

The Government envisions a drug-free educational ecosystem that fosters awareness, prevention, and holistic development, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment for all students. To achieve this, the mission of EAGLE Clubs is to:

• Educate students, teachers, and staff on the dangers of substance abuse.
• Empower institutions with the necessary tools and resources to prevent drug use and support affected individuals.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare professionals, NGOs, and the community to implant effective anti-drug initiatives, ensuring collective responsibility in safeguarding the future of our youth.

Key Objectives :

• Raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, peer pressure, and legal consequences through interactive sessions, campaigns, and curriculum integration.
• Encourage students to take a stand against substance abuse, foster a zero-tolerance culture, and leverage digital/social media for positive reinforcement.
• Establish peer mentoring and vigilance networks to identify early signs of substance use and facilitate intervention through trained counsellors, teachers, and law enforcement.
• Empower students to drive behavioral change through leadership programs, anti-drug clubs, and outreach activities in schools and communities.
• Connect students with rehabilitation and support networks, collaborating with NGOs, law enforcement, and mental health professionals for sustained impact.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Conduct awareness programs, workshops, and seminars for students, teachers, and parents.
• Organize interactive sessions with law enforcement, medical professionals, and recovered individuals to educate students on drug abuse risks.
• Integrate drug prevention education into school activities through debates, essay writing, and poster campaigns.
• Establish peer support systems where trained student leaders identify and counsel at-risk individuals.
• Promote anonymous reporting mechanisms for students to report concerns without fear of stigma.
• Monitor and report any suspected substance abuse cases to school administration or relevant authorities.
• Work closely with law enforcement, NGOs, and healthcare professionals to strengthen anti-drug initiatives.
• Organize drug-free drives, community awareness campaigns, and rehabilitation support programs in collaboration with local authorities.
• Participate in statewide anti-drug campaigns and coordinate with Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) for real-time tracking and monitoring.
• Appoint student representatives and faculty coordinators to oversee club activities and encourage participation.
• Use digital platforms and social media to create engaging content on drug prevention, mental health, and well-being.
• Facilitate counselling and rehabilitation support for affected students through medical professionals.
